Justin J. Heimpel, B.A., LL.B.    Justin completed his articling year with us in the Summer of 2000 and rejoined the firm in January 2001 following his completion of the Bar Admission Course.  Justin was called to the Ontario Bar on February 13, 2001.  At that ceremony, he was recognized for achieving the highest grade in the Province on the Civil Litigation bar exam.  He is now based in our Kitchener office and practices in the area of Civil Litigation, with a particular focus on employment and construction matters.   Justin was born and raised in Waterloo.  He graduated from St. David Catholic Secondary School before going on to earn his undergraduate degree in English from St. Jerome’s College at the University of Waterloo.  Justin’s only departure from Kitchener-Waterloo was to London, where he completed his law degree at the University of Western Ontario.  While at Western, Justin received several academic awards and graduated with distinction, as a Dean’s Honour List student.  In addition to his strong academic accomplishments, Justin is an active athlete who competes in recreational basketball and volleyball leagues in the area.  Justin currently serves on the Personnel Committee for a local non-profit organization.
