Mark W. Schumacher, B.A., LL.B.      Mark is a life long resident of  Kitchener-Waterloo.  He obtained his B.A. in Economics at the University of Western Ontario where he was also a member of the Varsity football team.  Mark obtained his legal education at the University of Ottawa and articled in Toronto.  He was called to the Ontario Bar in March 1985.  Prior to joining the firm, Mark worked as assistant corporate counsel at The Mutual Life Assurance Company of Canada (now Clarica).  While there, Mark handled a variety of commercial, insurance and litigation matters. Mark has been with the firm since June 1987 and concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, including condominium developments and residential plans of subdivision, commercial financings including mortgage lending and corporate finance and general business law, including the purchase and sale of business.  Mark was also a Lecturer in Real Estate Law at Conestoga College for the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario and is a member of the Rotary Club of Kitchener-Conestoga. He is a partner of the firm.
