Fred Kirvan

Fred is originally from Guelph and has been a resident of Kitchener since 1967 following his call to the Ontario Bar. Fred is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Waterloo County Law Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP).

Fred received his undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and his law degree from the University of Toronto Law School. He was later honoured with a designation as a Queen’s Counsel.

Fred provides personal legal services in the areas of Corporate and Business Law, Wills, Trusts and Estates, Real Estate and Mortgage Enforcement from our Kitchener office. Fred is happy to have joined Sorbara Law and is confident that the firm’s broad and varied areas of practice and the expertise of its members will complement his practice and expand the range of legal services available to his clients. Fred also maintains strategic alliances with an extensive network of other professionals to help meet all of his client’s needs.

Fred has always been very committed to the community and has served in various capacities in many organizations including: former Chair and Treasurer of St. Mary’s General Hospital Board, former Chair Waterloo Region Catholic High School Board, former Chair Junior Achievement Board of Directors, past member of the Advisory Board of Betty Thompson Youth Centre, former Chair of the Roman Catholic Community Foundation, former Chair of St. Thomas More Lawyer’s Guild for Hamilton Diocese, and honourary Director of Carmel of St. Joseph Board of Directors. Fred currently serves on St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation’s Council of Advisors.
