Jennifer Black is a life-long resident of Kitchener. Jennifer graduated from Resurrection Catholic Secondary School
before attending St. Jerome’s University at the University of Waterloo, where she earned an Honours Degree in History,
a Legal Studies and Criminology option and a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies. Jennifer graduated from the
University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law in 2005. While attending the University of Windsor, Jennifer enjoyed being
a part of the Windsor community by volunteering at Community Legal Aid, The University of Windsor Mediation Service,
and Pro Bono Students Canada.
Jennifer articled at Sorbara, Schumacher, McCann LLP and joined the firm after her call to the Ontario Bar in July
2006. Jennifer practices in the area of family law from both our Kitchener and Guelph offices. Jennifer is
experienced and knowledgeable in all areas of family law, including custody, access, child support, spousal
support and property issues. Jennifer has experience in negotiating and preparing separation agreements,
cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts. Jennifer is also trained in collaborative family law.
Jennifer is active in the community through her volunteer work at her church, which includes teaching the Liturgy
of the Word Sunday school program.
