Jill Renaud joined the SorbaraLaw Team and began working in our corporate/commercial department in October 2010. Jill provides support to a valued client under a secondment arrangement and is also available to assist clients on various business law matters from our Kitchener office.


Jill was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. She attended Carleton University School of Journalism in Ottawa where she obtained a Bachelor of Journalism with a concentration in History. After her graduation, she was employed as a technical writer in the National Capital Region. In 2001, Jill returned to southern Ontario and was employed as a technical writer and editor for technology companies in both Kitchener and Waterloo. She attended law school at the University of Western Ontario and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007. Prior to joining SorbaraLaw, Jill practiced corporate and commercial law at a local firm located in Cambridge.

Since 2007, Jill has gained much experience advising clients on business and corporate matters. She also provides services in municipal law, residential and commercial real estate transactions, and prepares wills and powers of attorney for her clients.

When not in the office, Jill spends time with her husband and two young children. Jill is an avid reader and enjoys book clubs, traveling and a variety of outdoor activities including hiking and snowboarding. She is a member of the Shade’s Mill (Cambridge) Law Association and the Waterloo Law Association, as well as the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations.
