Justin was born and raised in Waterloo. He earned his undergraduate degree in English from St. Jerome’s College
at the University of Waterloo. Justin’s only departure from Kitchener-Waterloo was to London, where he completed
his law degree at the University of Western Ontario. While at Western, Justin received several academic awards and
graduated with distinction, as a Dean’s Honour List student. Justin completed his articling year with the firm in
2000 and rejoined the firm in January 2001 following his completion of the Bar Admission Course. Justin was called
to the Ontario Bar on February 13, 2001. At that ceremony, he was recognized for achieving the highest grade in
the Province on the Civil Litigation bar exam. He is now based in our Kitchener office and practices in the area
of civil litigation, with a particular focus on employment and construction matters. Justin is a former prosecutor
on behalf of the Federal Department of Justice and has conducted numerous prosecutions under the Controlled
Drugs and Substances Act, the Income Tax Act and various other federal statutes.
Justin is active within the community – he currently serves on the Board of Directors of Extend-A-Family
(Waterloo Region), is the Chair of the Kidsability School Authority, and volunteers on the Regional and
Municipal Affairs Committee of the Greater KW Chamber of Commerce. Justin is a partner of the firm.
