Mark is a life-long resident of Kitchener-Waterloo. He obtained his B.A. in Economics at the University
of Western Ontario where he was also a member of the Varsity football team. Mark earned his law degree
from the University of Ottawa and articled in Toronto. He was called to the Ontario Bar in March 1985.
Prior to joining the firm, Mark worked as assistant corporate counsel at The Mutual Life Assurance
Company of Canada (now Sunlife) where he handled a variety of commercial, insurance and litigation
matters. Mark has been with the firm since June 1987 and concentrates his practice in commercial real
estate, including condominium developments and residential plans of subdivision, commercial financings
including mortgage lending and corporate finance, and general business law, including the purchase and
sale of businesses.
Mark has been a Lecturer in Real Estate Law at Conestoga College for the Institute of Law Clerks of
Ontario and is a currently a member of the Rotary Club of Kitchener-Conestoga. He also volunteers his
time as a director of the Waterloo Region Catholic Schools Foundation and as a director of Deer Ridge
Golf Club. He is a partner of the firm.
