Jacquelyn R. Johnson, B.A. (Hons), J.D.
Jacquelyn (Jackie) Johnson was called to the Ontario Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in June, 2011.
Jackie grew up in Guelph, Ontario. She completed her university degree in honours psychology at the University of Waterloo, along with an option in Legal Studies and Criminology. She graduated on the Dean’s Honours List. After obtaining her B.A., she attended the prestigious Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto to complete her legal studies.
Jackie brings with her a distinguished law school experience. She was honoured with the Bruce Leonard Prize in Insolvency Studies, granted by the Insolvency Institute of Canada, an association of leading Canadian insolvency professionals from the legal and accounting professions. This prize is awarded annually to the Osgoode Hall student who achieves the highest grade in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law course.
She was also accepted into the Golden Key International Honour Society for finishing in the top 15% of her graduating class at Osgoode Hall. Golden Key is the world’s premier academic honour society, recognizing and encouraging scholastic achievement and excellence among college and university students from all academic disciplines.
Jackie is no stranger to SorbaraLaw. She summered with the firm for four summers prior to returning as an articling student in the summer of 2010.
Jackie is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations and a mentor for the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development’s Summer Company Program through the Waterloo Region Small Business Centre.
In her spare time, Jackie enjoys reading, recreational sports, traveling, spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog.
Jackie works out of our Kitchener office and is a member of our Corporate-Commercial Group.
