Justin J. Heimpel, B.A., LL.B.
Justin is a partner in the firm and head of the employment law practice. Justin’s practice is focused primarily on employment and construction matters. He regularly represents senior executives and/or companies when negotiating employment agreements or seeking remedies when the relationship doesn’t work out. His experience on both sides of these matters adds insight to his advice to clients whether they are employees or employers. Justin’s corporate clients trust his advice on employment matters in both union and non-union work environments.
He frequently represents owners, contractors, sub-trades and materials suppliers in a wide variety of construction disputes including construction liens, breach of trust, and deficiency claims.
Justin has defended his clients’ legal interests before every level of court in Ontario and before a great many boards and tribunals. His clients know him as a pragmatic and tenacious advocate.
