Ryan C. Baker, B.A. (Hons.), J.D.
Ryan joined SorbaraLaw’s family law practice group after being called to the Ontario Bar in 2015. As an undergraduate, Ryan studied criminal justice, public policy, and political science while also volunteering at the on-campus legal resource centre. In 2010, he graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree.
The following year, Ryan enrolled at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law and quickly became a contributing member to both the university and Windsor-Essex communities. In his second and third years of law school, Ryan was a law student caseworker with a downtown legal clinic, providing legal assistance to low-income members of the Windsor-Essex community.
Throughout his law school career, Ryan also competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition; he volunteered with the Windsor Law High School Outreach Program; and he co-produced a current-events themed radio-show with listenership reaching Windsor, Detroit and beyond. After earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor, Ryan articled for a respected Hamilton law firm.
Ryan grew up in Guelph, Ontario and he is an avid reader who enjoys live music, watching baseball, and back-country camping.
