Ian Park is a lawyer in SorbaraLaw’s Corporate-Commercial Group.

While attending the Western University, Faculty of Law, Ian engaged in a variety of activities and interests, including working for a trade law firm in Seoul, South Korea, participating as a member of an International Law Association where he was a part of a pro-bono legal research project to establish a possible war crimes tribunal of Liberia, and working as a volunteer interpreter for a multi-lingual legal hotline in Washington, DC during his exchange program.  Upon graduation, he was a recipient of 2009 Janet Stewart Award in Immigration and Refugee Law.

After a few years of legal practice in Toronto, he attended the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto on an entrance scholarship, and completed an MBA degree with a specialization in finance.

His practice is now focused on corporate-commercial law.  Prior to joining SorbaraLaw, Ian practiced corporate and securities law at a law firm, and at a large financial services firm in Toronto.

He is currently a member of the World Overseas Korean Traders Association.

He practices traditional Korean painting.  In 2012 and 2016, he was an opening ceremony speaker and an exhibitor at Korean traditional art exhibitions in Toronto.
