Jane Jiang is an experienced business and international transactions lawyer, licensed both in China and Ontario. Before she moved to Toronto in 2015, she had been working as a Leading Counsel at two public multinational high-technology companies in Beijing, China for ten years, focusing on various business transactions such as divesture, merger and acquisition, enterprise reorganization, corporate financing etc. Her long term legal career in corporate and commercial business enabled her to have a unique depth and width of experience with the legal and business environment and keen insight on observing, exploring and meeting clients’ needs.
Her general corporate and commercial law practice covers a broad range of areas, from establishing new business or acquiring existing business, debt or equity financing for the business, merger and acquisitions, to advising on various matters associated with the operation of the business. Especially she had a lot of experiences in dealing with various technology transactions including software licencing, outsourcing, clouding service, etc.
Jane’s education and practice experience in both China and Canada enable her to advise clients on cross border transactions in a unique beneficial position. Her expertise in the international business transactions can help clients invest either inbound or outbound between Canada and China.
Before joining Sorbaralaw, Jane has been working as a sole practitioner in Oakville, helping the residents to deal with various business transactions. She has been invited as a guest speaker in the community multicultural organization and volunteered her time to help seniors in the community.
In her spare time, she likes to go hiking, spending time outdoors with family.
