Melissa received her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 2009 and graduated from the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law in 2014. During her time at Windsor Law, Melissa volunteered for the Community Legal Aid clinic and was granted a judicial clerkship.

After completing her articles with a well-respected law firm in Toronto, Melissa was admitted to the Law Society of Ontario in June of 2014. Since that time, Melissa has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law, joining the family law department of Sorbara Law in August of 2019. Melissa provides comprehensive legal services to clients dealing with the issues that arise upon the breakdown of a relationship such as parenting arrangements, child support, spousal support, and property division.

Melissa is a passionate and thoughtful advocate who works to achieve a fair outcome on behalf of her clients. To resolve a client’s matter in the most fair and effective manner, Melissa aims to address her client’s concerns through alternative resolution methods such negotiating settlements, whenever possible. When litigation is required, Melissa vigorously represents her clients in court applications, appearing at both the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice.

Melissa grew up in Hamilton, Ontario. She enjoys watching and attending sporting events, and is an avid basketball fan.
