Yervant is born and raised in Toronto, Ontario where he practiced at a prominent boutique litigation firm on Bay Street prior to joining SorbaraLaw.

Yervant graduated from York University with an Honours Degree in Political Science and Law & Society, where he graduated on the Dean’s Honour List. Yervant also earned a degree as a Court and Tribunal Agent (Paralegal) at Seneca College before earning his law degree from the University of Windsor – Faculty of Law.

Yervant previously worked at the Court of Appeal for Ontario as an Inmate Appeals Case Management Officer and Court Registrar, where he had the honour of working with/for various court of appeal judges.

Yervant has appeared as lead counsel before all levels of Court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal for Ontario, as well as various boards and tribunals across Ontario.

 When he is not at work, Yervant is busy earning his Master of Laws (LLM) at Osgoode Hall Law School in the area of Family Law, as well as volunteering in the community as a board member of Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington and the Wellington Law Association. Yervant also enjoys the beauty of Canada’s great outdoors and is an avid hiker, camper, cyclist and skier.

Yervant is bilingual in Armenian and English, and is proud to serve the communities of Guelph and the Tri-Cities (Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge), as well as the rest of the surrounding areas.
