Elikem Deley is a Partner and leader of the Wills, Estates and Trusts Team. Her practice focuses exclusively on delivering strategic, practical advice that protects clients’ interests while helping them navigate complex succession and legacy planning. She is trusted by clients to guide them through planning for wealth transfers, business succession planning, powers of attorney and incapacity planning, as well as through probate the administration of estates, with extensive legal knowledge with practical judgment.
Elikem works closely with clients in managing estate disputes and guides fiduciaries through their legal obligations with clarity and efficiency.
Known for her thoughtful and measured approach, Elikem uses her prior experience in family law and her nuanced understanding of family dynamics and dispute resolution to provide strong advocacy in sensitive and contentious estate matters.
Elikem regularly presents on estate law topics and is actively involved in professional and community organizations. She is a member of the Waterloo-Wellington Estate Planning Council, Waterloo Regional Law Association and the Ontario Bar Association. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Foundation and is the former President of the Board of Directors of the Homer Watson House Foundation.
Outside of work, Elikem is an aspiring sommelier and enjoys travelling with her husband and keeping busy with her two young daughters.
