George was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo and has practiced law in the area for over 40 years. During that time, George developed a reputation as a strong advocate on behalf of his clients in a wide variety of legal areas. George joined Sorbara, Schumacher, McCann LLP as Counsel on September 1, 2007.

George has been active in the community for many years. He was a founding Director and Past-President of the K-W Chapter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and has acted as Director for the Waterloo Law Association, the Conservative Business Association and the Waterloo Rotary Club. An inductee to the McMaster University Sports Hall of Fame, George coached Waterloo Minor Baseball teams, played Old-Timers’ Hockey and was a member of the Westmount Golf, K-W Racquet and Georgian Peaks Ski Clubs.

In 1982, George’s accomplishments, both as a lawyer and within the community in general, were recognized with his designation as Queen’s Counsel.

George practiced in the areas of business law, real estate, Wills and estates, and elder law matters. He also provided guidance and advice to the lawyers of our firm on complex estate matters.

George retired from the practice of law in 2012.
