Greg is a partner in the firm and head of the litigation group.  Above all else Greg is a trial lawyer. Clients regularly retain Greg for their most important concerns, including commercial disputes and construction related litigation. Greg is also regularly retained for serious medical malpractice and personal injury claims. Often a trial is not the most cost effective or timely way to achieve the best outcome for a client. Where the cost or duration of a dispute can be reduced without compromising the best possible outcome for a client, Greg is a proponent of mediation and arbitration. Regardless of the method for dispute resolution Greg is an innovative and tenacious champion of his client’s rights.

Greg has successfully argued for his clients’ interests at every level of court in Ontario, including at the Supreme Court of Canada. Greg is particularly effective in appellate matters where skills and experience specific to the appeal process are required. Further, he has prevailed before a diverse range of boards and tribunals on matters including occupational health and safety, Ontario Municipal Board matters,  and professional disciplinary hearings. Greg’s clients value his pragmatic approach to civil disputes and regulatory matters, constantly seeking the best possible outcome in the shortest possible time and at the least possible cost.

Greg is pleased to contribute his time, professional skill, and leadership as a founding director and past chair of Nutrition for Learning, a charity working for better student outcomes through better nutrition. Greg is also a current trustee of the Waterloo Law Association and a longstanding and active member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
