Mark is a business lawyer who assists clients with a wide variety of corporate-commercial and intellectual property needs.
Mark grew up in Waterloo and Etobicoke, Ontario. He returned to Waterloo for his undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, where he earned his bachelor’s and then his master’s degrees in chemical engineering. Afterwards, Mark went to the University of Akron School of Law where he graduated cum laude with his J.D. and LL.M in intellectual property. During his legal studies, Mark did a study abroad and work placement with a boutique IP firm in Munich, Germany, and worked in the IP department of a major tire company in Akron, Ohio.
Admitted to the bar in Ohio in 2016 and in Ontario in 2018, Mark began his practice in the area of business law with a boutique business law firm in Oakville with a focus on mergers and acquisitions of small and medium sized businesses. He then moved to a downtown Toronto firm, where, in addition to his corporate law work, he also worked in the areas of commercial real estate and secured lending transactions for institutional lenders. He joined SorbaraLaw in our Markham office in 2022.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys curling, golf, playing the trombone, cheering on the Blue Jays, and walking his pet beagles, Snoopy and Lemon.
