James Peluch joined the firm’s Family Law practice in Guelph in 2009. James was born and raised in Kitchener. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1982 with Bachelor of Arts degree. He then obtained a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1984 and, after working in London and Hamilton, he completed Law School at the University of Western Ontario in 1991.

James has practised predominantly family law in Guelph since 1995. He has been a panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer for several years and has been involved in a wide variety of family law matters at different levels of court throughout the Province. James has also acted as a prosecutor for the Department of Public Prosecution where he dealt with matters under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and other federal statutes.

Over the years, James has been a member of the Norfolk Street United Church Council, Kiwanis Club, Lakeside Cottagers Association Executive, Guelph Services for the Physically Disabled and Guelph Youth Music Centre Board of Directors. He enjoys spending time at his cottage with his wife and three children. James is conversant in Polish and has an appreciation of food, sports, and cultural diversity.
