Michael joined SorbaraLAW as a lawyer in 2026. Prior to joining SorbaraLAW, he worked at a commercial litigation boutique in Kitchener. Michael pursues and maintains a practice in civil litigation with a focus on employment law and commercial litigation, including construction liens and shareholder disputes.
Michael routinely advises both employees and employers in circumstances involving the termination of employment, including wrongful and constructive dismissal, and dismissals for just-cause. Michael is experienced in conducting workplace investigations and assisting employees and employers navigate the complexities of Human Rights related matters.
Michael also represents owners, contractors and sub-trades in various construction related disputes, including construction liens, breach of trust, delay, and deficiency claims.
Michael attended the University of Western Ontario where he placed on the Dean’s Honour List after his first year of study. Michael is a member of the Waterloo Region Law Association. Michael has appeared before various courts, including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and Ontario Human Rights Tribunal.
Outside of his legal practice, Michael enjoys spending time with his young children, running, and watching hockey.
