Dami Awoyomi is an articling student at Sorbara Law, where he is gaining experience across a range of practice areas as part of a broad and practical training program.
Dami holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law and Technology from the University of Ottawa, graduating with distinction. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Babcock University and completed his professional legal training at the Nigerian Law School, where he graduated with First Class honours and ranked First in Professional Ethics in the Country's Bar Exams winning 5 national prizes.
Prior to joining Sorbara Law, Dami worked as legal counsel for a multinational organization, where he gained experience supporting commercial transactions and advising on corporate and regulatory matters. He has also worked at 2 leading national firms in Canada contributing to litigation, commercial and technology practice groups.
Outside of the office, he enjoys playing soccer and volunteering as a referee for kids' and adults' tournaments, playing musical instruments, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
