Ijeoma Staunton is an Articling Student at Sorbara Law based in the Waterloo office. She is practising primarily in Wills & Estates, gaining experience in estate planning and estate administration matters.
Ijeoma brings a thoughtful, research-driven and client-focused approach to her work. Her background in interdisciplinary research has strengthened her ability to understand complex issues, analyze detailed information and communicate clearly. She is particularly interested in helping clients navigate legal processes that can often feel unfamiliar or overwhelming.
Before beginning her articling term, Ijeoma gained experience working in legal, academic and research settings. She has worked with healthcare professionals, families and community members and has experience approaching challenging social and legal issues from different perspectives.
Ijeoma earned her LLB (Hons) from York Law School in the UK and completed the NCA requirements in Canada. She also holds a Master of Health Ethics from Memorial University and a BA in Health & Society from McMaster University.
Outside of work, Ijeoma enjoys camping, spending time outdoors and getting out to Newfoundland and BC whenever she can.
