Justin is a partner in the firm and head of the firm’s litigation group and leads the firm’s employment law practice. While much of Justin’s practice involves employment matters, he also has extensive experience in construction litigation matters and a wide range of commercial disputes, including shareholder disputes, oppression remedy claims, and injunction proceedings.

Justin regularly represents employers and employees in the negotiation of employment contracts and provides timely advice in relation to all aspects of the employment relationship. When workplace disputes arise, Justin provides practical advice to his clients aimed at resolving disputes in the most expeditious and cost-effective manner. Justin also provides representation and advice on matters before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Labour Relations Board, and other regulatory bodies.

Justin is a certified workplace investigator who conducts workplace investigations and otherwise advises workplace parties on such matters.

Justin has extensive experience representing employers and other workplace parties in prosecutions under the Occupational Health & Safety Act and other regulatory proceedings.

Justin also frequently represents owners, contractors, sub-trades and materials suppliers in a wide variety of construction disputes including construction liens, breach of trust, and deficiency claims.

Justin has defended his clients’ legal interests before every level of court in Ontario and before a great many boards and tribunals. His clients know him as a pragmatic and tenacious advocate.
