Mirjana (Mira) Markovic joined SorbaraLaw’s Real Estate, Corporate and Commercial groups in 2021.  She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Legal Studies. She later attended the prestigious University of Birmingham Law School in the United Kingdom, where she completed her law degree. As a law student, Mira was actively involved with a community group that provided pro-bono legal assistance to low-income members of the Birmingham community. Mira also has a degree as a Court and Tribunal Agent from Sheridan College and is trained in Alternative Dispute and Conflict Resolution Management.  Before joining SorbaraLaw, Mira’s practice primarily focused on Real Estate and Family Law.

Mira’s current practice focuses primarily on Real Estate. Mira strives to assist her clients to achieve a fair outcome that is tailored to their individual needs and she works diligently to protect her clients’ interests. Mira is a strong negotiator and advocate, with experience in several alternative dispute resolution settings, and has represented clients in both the Ontario and Superior Court of Justice.

Mira and her family emigrated to Canada from Smederevo, Serbia in 1992. Mira is bilingual and is proud to be able to provide legal services to the community in both Serbian and English.

In her spare time, Mira enjoys working out, boxing, hiking, and travelling.
