David Young is a Partner at the firm practicing out of our Markham office. Practicing as a residential real estate lawyer, David provides comprehensive legal guidance to a diverse client group across the GTA, ranging from first-time home buyers to experienced real estate investors.

With extensive experience advising on a broad spectrum of property matters, David is a trusted resource for clients navigating complex real estate transactions. He offers strategic direction on residential purchases, sales, and refinances, while also maintaining a highly specialized focus on assignment transactions, pre-construction agreements, and contract reviews.

David is highly regarded by his clients for his accessibility and fierce advocacy, frequently presenting on real estate law topics for the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board and local brokerages in-person, online and on podcasts. He takes pride in returning calls promptly and breaking down complex legal processes into plain language, ensuring a stress-free transaction from the initial review to final closing.

Originally from Scotland, David relocated to Toronto almost fifteen years ago. His strong legal foundation includes a four-year LL.B. (Honours) degree and a one-year post-graduate diploma. After completing his Canadian equivalency exams, he was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016.

Outside of his legal practice, David is an active community member who enjoys exploring York region with his two young sons.
