Incoming Students - Summer 2025
We are excited to announce the arrival of Ashoke Mohanraj, Sofia Sucevic, Majeed Khan, Kristin Abujan, Phillip Psutka as our 2025 Summer Law Students! The summer students will be starting on May 5, 2025 and working with the SorbaraLAW team until August 22, 2025.
Ashoke Mohanraj - Markham office
Ashoke has completed his first year of law school at the Schulich School of Law. Ashoke has previous experience as an environmental advisor with the RCMP and as a project coordinator for Minto Group. He is passionate about climate peace and security, participating in numerous community initiatives advocating for the environment. He has written and published a children's book titled "Pollinator Man" which earned him the honour of being named one of Canada's Clean50 Emerging Leaders in 2024. In his free time, Ashoke enjoys fitness, obstacle races, and NFTs.
Sofia Sucevic - Guelph office
Sofia has completed her first year of law school at the University of Toronto. She was a volunteer at Downtown Legal Services, conducting client intake to assess eligibility for legal aid services. She is associate editor of the law journal and she's participated in content creation for the Labour and Employment Law Club as a 1L representative. Sofia is fluent in English and Serbian. Her interests include reading, travelling, weightlifting and hiking.
Majeed Khan - Waterloo office
Majeed has completed his second year of law school at the University of Windsor. Majeed has previous experience working as a legal assistant at a full-service law firm supporting corporate and residential real estate groups as well as through handling pro bono and legal aid files. He also volunteers as a team leader coordinating local and national community events for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Majeed is fluent in English, Urdu, Pashtu, and Hindi. His interests include snowboarding, soccer, tennis, volleyball, rock-climbing and day trading.
Kristin Abujan - Waterloo office
Kristin (pronounced "Christine") has completed her second year of law school at Queen's University. She summered with Harris Law following 1L, providing support for personal injury files including preparing memos, settlement proposals, pre-trial briefs and submissions. Kristen volunteered as a student case worker at Queen's Legal Aid. She is fluent in English and Bisaya. Her interests include intramural volleyball and playing musical instruments.
Phillip Psutka - Waterloo Office
Phillip has completed his first year of law school at the Toronto Metropolitan University Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Prior to joining law school, Phillip had a playwrighting career and owns a local theatrical circus performance company. He has won numerous awards for his theatre and performance career and hopes to bring his knowledge and entrepreneurial business experience into the field of law. In his free time, Phillip enjoys canoe tripping, lead rock climbing (currently projecting mid 5.12's) and cryptic crossword solving.
