Raman is a family lawyer based in the Kitchener-Waterloo region whose practice is devoted exclusively to family law litigation. She represents clients throughout Ontario in complex parenting, support, and property disputes arising from separation and divorce. Her practice focuses on high-conflict parenting matters, relocation cases, child and spousal support claims, property division, equalization, and disputes involving business interests and financial disclosure.
Raman is recognized for her strategic approach to difficult family law cases where the facts, finances, and emotions are often deeply intertwined. She regularly advocates for clients in contested parenting proceedings involving decision-making responsibility, parenting time, parental alienation allegations, emergency motions, and the enforcement or variation of court orders.
In addition to parenting litigation, Raman has extensive experience handling complex financial issues. She assists clients with business and trust interests, income determination, retroactive support claims, imputation of income, and the valuation and division of family property.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2015, Raman has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
Raman brings both professional and personal insight to her family law practice. As a co-parent, she appreciates the practical realities that separated families encounter and understands that family law disputes often extend beyond legal issues alone. This perspective allows her to approach each case with empathy, realism, and a focus on achieving workable outcomes that serve her clients' long-term interests and the well-being of their children.
